Coachbuilt Prams, Canopies and Quilt Sets

My good friend Jackie Burnett was returning home by car and noticed a poster which was asking for collectors of antique items to give the Antiques Roadshow a call if they were interested in having their collection on the show - which was all she needed, an invitation to display her beloved girls!!

The result was a call from the producers of the show and then a visit from Nicholas Mitchell who was captivated by Jackie's beautiful prams.  He was so enthusiastic about having them on the show and picked out the Marmet Queen as his choice!   Jackie picked out 4 more and a Pickford's lorry turned up yesterday to collect them all.   The men carried, yes carried, the prams to the lorry then wrapped them in soft blankets to protect them before transporting them to the Antiques Roadshow venue in Hull.

This morning Jackie and Roy joined the presenters of the show to spend the day watching the filming and also being interviewed to appear on the show when it is televised - probably on December 28th!

Putting Hilary right on a few details!

A couple of the girls sharing the show with a chest of drawers and a dodgem car!!  No accounting for taste is there!
