i want to change the colour of my 1970 s Super Burley twin pram from brown to cream, i have removed the top and side pieces, but i cannot seem to get access to the screws securing the base i am trying not to rip the plastic as it may be useful, i am now completely stumped, has anyone else tried to do this ?if so i would like to hear from them as to how to go about it ,surely it can't be that difficult. I have an all navy super burley twin from 1969, when I reupholstered it, my hubby drilled them out as the ones in ours were not actually screws but a type of rivet so he drelled the heads off, we replaced them both with screws with washers under the heads so if we wanted to take it out again we'd not rip the upholstery. Yesterday we helped a friend take out 2 pram linings and the screws in them were too firmly set probably due to dirt that seems to accumulate sround them etc and again he used a drill to unscrew them as a common screwdriver can slip too easily and tear the material--they seem to need extra power to remove them agter all the years!!!! Hope this helps. Frances | |
