A PRAMMIE INDULGENCE!
I have been to visit Danielle Olaizola in France and she showed me a book which she had written in 2003. It is crammed with photos and facts about prams ranging from 1846 until 2000 and contains 115 pages which should keep your interest for quite some time. The book is written in both French and English and gives hints and tips of what to look for if you are trying to date a pram, such as type of chassis, hood etc. Dany has also included costume models of the period when the pram was produced which is also very useful if you like to match up the clothes with the era.
A few photos of the pages inside the book:-

If you would like to buy a copy of Dany's book, which is priced at £25, please contact me on pattyflan@blueyonder.co.uk
PERAMBULATOR TIMES

Whilst we're talking about good things to read, there is a little magazine which I must tell you about! It is a quarterly magazine called "Perambulator Times" and is produced by Beth Huckstep who lives in Kent. Beth crams as much information, photos, poetry and vintage items such as advertisements etc into this little book and anyone who knows about it, or receives it already, will understand when I say that each quarter when the magazine is due, we prammies are waiting by the door for the postman to arrive! Then it's off to the kitchen to boil the kettle for a brew and get the crumpets toasted ready for a couple of hours rest and relaxation!
If anyone would like to receive the Perambulator Times just contact Beth on her email address, which is bethy_huckstep@hotmail.com or her telephone number which is 01892 547344. Obviously there is a little subscription to pay of £12 for UK prammies, £13 for European prammies, £18 for American and Canadian prammies and £20 for Australian prammies. This subscription just covers Beth's expenses and is a small token to pay for the pleasure this little publication will give you.
Beth is always looking for prammie news items and photographs for the magazine so if any of you have something of interest you would like the rest of us to know about, just let Beth know in good time for the next edition.
Keep up the good work Beth, all power to your publishing elbow!

BRAND NEW FAN-SHAPED CANOPY FRAMES
If you would like to buy 1 or 12 fan-shaped canopy frames please email Michael on mlobban21@yahoo.co.uk with the measurements you would like and he will make a new frame for you. He sprays the frame with etching primer so it is ready to paint when you receive it. You will need to attach your own cords and leather fobs. Michael will quote you for the frames and p&p when you contact him.
He usually makes my frames 21" wide x 20" high to allow for plenty of room underneath. With other frames I have been using the headroom under the frame is so low that an extension piece has to be purchased! This is not a problem with Michael's frames.
